Prince Appeton

I was born on September 2, 1992 in Monrovia, Liberia. I lived in Grand Cape Mount County, Robertsport with my mother, father and two younger siblings. During the last civil war in Liberia in 2002, I left Liberia and traveled to Ghana to Buduburam Camp as a refugee with my Mother and two younger siblings. I got baptized 2006 and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. 2008 a white man whose name Andy Jones opened an orphan home called Africa Heartwood Projects. My younger siblings and I had the opportunity to go there as orphan children. We went to school and learned all types of African activities, like dancing culture, beating culture drums, making African drums and African art. It was wonderful. 2013 I graduated from high school with a diploma. In 2017, my church sent me on a missionary journey for two years to Nigeria to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Now by the special grace and mercy of God I'm working with Africa Heartwood Projects as a media specialist. The reason I wrote this book is to tell the world that life in Africa is not easy. We have to focus and center our lives on God and the Savior Jesus Christ.
